Our Story

While Siskin Wines stands for passion and craft, the story behind its origin is quite amusing as well. Here’s how it all came about, straight from our founder Jay Ruparel.  

“One fine sunny afternoon in Inverness, Scotland, I was by myself, sipping on a glass of fine Australian wine at this quaint wine bar. Keeping me company were a pleasant cool breeze and melodious chirps from some pretty little birds frolicking about. Curious, I asked the bar owner about these birds.
